
Dwarka Delhi | Shri Santosh Kumar Rai (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, (Najafgarh Zone), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) with his team of Senior Officials visited Dwarka Sub City including Sector 8, Dwarka, New Delhi on thursday, the 8th May, 2025 and listens the public grievances.
During his Dwarka visit, a delegation of residents led by Shri A S Chhatwal, Former General Secretary, Dwarka Forum with Shri Kaushal Khanna – Vice President, Ms Anjana Sinha, General Secretary, Ms Sucheta Sinha, Joint Secretary and representatives of various Residents Welfare Associations met the Deputy Commissioner and brought to his notice about the problems being faced by the area residents. The representatives of various Residents Welfare Associations of Sector -8, (Blocks A, B, C, D of DDA Residential Plotted Area), Dwarka, New Delhi briefed him the major issues of Sector-8, Dwarka.
Ms Anjana Sinha and Sh Kaushal Khanna requested for trimming of trees and raised the issue of some broken Sewer Covers.
Shri Kanwar Singh, Secretary A Block RWA explained him the requirement of Local Shopping Centre on the land already earmarked by DDA in A Block Sector 8 Dwarka. He also requested for cleaning of malba, dumped on vacant plots.
Shri B S Tripathi and Shri Pawan Goyal of B- Block RWA raised the problems of dumping of malba and other construction materials particularly near railway line.
Shri C S Solanki and Shri Pushpender briefed about the traffic problem around Mother Dairy Chowk, due to encroachment on the foot paths.
Shri Amit Kumar, RWA Coordinator, D- Block, and Mrs Prabhdeep Kaur Vice President, D- Block briefed about the garbage disposal problems and requirements of Big Size Dustbins.
On the request of Shri A S Chhatwal and Block representatives, the Deputy Commissioner, MCD very kindly agreed to and visited all the major sites shown by the area residents.
Shri Rai, Deputy Commissioner, MCD gave a patient hearing to each and every issue raised by the residents and issued on the spot orders to the concerned senior officials accompanied with him for immediate redressal the grievances.
Shri Chhatwal briefed him almost all major issues of the area. Thereafter, DC has very kindly assured all required actions on priority.
Overall, the delegation members and area residents were very happy due to prompt action and remarkable decisions taken by the MCD authorities to resolve the long pending issues.
